Hi Everyone Our last couple of trips were a 2 day and a 1 ½ day. The two day was the Eric’s tackle charter. We ended up with 49 albacore for 10 people. It was a little scratchy but the weather was nice and the guys had a great time. My son Ryan joined us and picked up four Nice Albacore, along with Fisher Corbin who had seven fish for the trip. It was fun watching the young kids catching fish. I am posting a photo of Ryan and Fisher. ] The next charter was Turner Rod and Reel 1 ½ day. Unfortunatley the weather was up and the fishing became slow. However they are always a nice group and they had a good time. We are still seeing good sign of mixed grade Albacore around. It seems like the fish just haven’t settled in yet. We will be in until July 6th. Have a great July fourth.

Hi everyone Our first offshore trip was Sat. June 21st. This was a charter with only 6 passengers. For the day we ended up with 11 Albacore and 1 big yellow. Fishing was slow but everyone had a chance or two at a nice Albacore. We did see a lot more fish around than we managed to catch. I Think that these fish have just moved in and are just not ready to bite. Lets hope it will be soon. The boat is on a two day charter right now and will return tonight. I will update tomorrow and try to get some new photos posted.

Hi everyone We have just arrived in San Diego. It’s nice to be back. Our last trip out of Ventura was Bob Selvin’s LARRC two day charter. The first day was spent at San Miguel island fishing for rock fish in the shallows. It was steady fishing on nice reds most of the day. Most of the fish were caught on bass gear and plastics, under 100 feet of water. We spent a little time in the afternoon trying for halibut, with no luck. Later that night we made a tank of squid and ran down to Anacapa hoping for a night bite on Seabass or Yellowtail. We did get the night bite but it only produced two Seabass. After daylight we caught a lot of Bat rays and about 6 Black Seabass that were all released. We spent the rest of the day trying for the Seabass at Santa Cruz. We saw a lot of fish but only managed to hook and land two at the end of the day. I am posting a picture of the two jack pot fish caught in the dark at Anacapa. We will be off shore this weekend on one day charters. Wish us luck.

Hi everyone, Our last trip was the Rick Stetler 2 day trip on Thrusday and Friday. We had very good red fishing on the first day despite windy conditions. We were able to fish Santa Rosa but it wasn\'t long before the wind took over. The rest of the afternoon and the second day we concentrated on halibut and seabass with very little success. Only a couple of halibut. We did however see hundred of nice seabass in the kelp at Santa Cruz. They just would not bite. Rick\'s group of guys are very nice and had a great time. We are looking forward to his trip next year. Unfortunately the weather is up and we lost the weekend. Our two day trip for Mon. and Tues. has been resceduled to next week. We are just waiting for the weather to give us a break. What a spring it been!!

Hi anglers We had a very nice weekend. On Saturday we fished Santa Rosa and had very good rock fishing with some big white fish mixed in. Today we fished San Miguel in flat calm weather. The fishing was outstanding. We ended up with limits of rockfish for 21 anglers and close to limits of nice whitefish. It was a great day of fishing. We are out again tonight on the SFR charter. The water conditions are improving again after last week’s bad weather. Hopefully we will be catching some game fish soon.

Hi anglers Sorry this report is a little late. Our fishing on Sunday was very good. We had a full boat, with 24 anglers catching easy limits of rockfish, (240) and 36 whitefish. In the morning we filled our tanks again with live squid. The conditions have been improving dramatically, and on Monday the Mirage caught some seabass. Finally some sign of game fish. We have had the bait; all we needed was the right conditions. We are scheduled for open party fishing on Thursday; hopefully we can get the seabass bite going.
